What backs ARTI
ARTI is made only when USDC arrives in Arti's Safe: a wallet on Base that moves nothing without two of its three signers, and to which the server holds no key. One ARTI is one cent. This page sets what the Safe held beside what the books counted, the last time the server read them.
Arti's runs on a test network for now: the USDC here is test money with no value, and so is the ARTI it backs.

What members don't hold is in the house's own accounts. The Safe's balance is on the chain, where anyone can check it; the count of ARTI comes from Arti's own books. Every minute the server tries to read the Safe; it pauses the economy by itself if the books ever run ahead of the Safe by more than a small tolerance, or if the Safe stays unread for long.
